Megan and Ivan’s day was an elegant and romantic Sunday brunch wedding at the Scotland Run Golf Club. I was automatically drawn to Megan’s calm and sweet nature and her soon-to-be husband’s easygoing energy. They hosted a gorgeous display of their love for their friends, family and their little baby girl-who may I add, was the cutest little sugar I’ve seen in awhile.

The venue was one of the best venues to photograph a wedding in-designed to capture beauty in practically every angle of the estate whether you were indoors or outdoors. Megan’s bridal party palette was a delicate pink theme which I was in love with. It lead the charge for the tone of their wedding which was a classic, yet whimsical affair, At times, it lent an almost European feel to the day: elegant, timeless, fun-loving, celebratory.

During my time spent with Megan and Ivan, I took notice to a constant flow of laughter and energy. Their bridal party consisted of a group of people who loved both Megan and Ivan deeply and wanted nothing more than to make their day, the best day they could possibly have.

My eye gravitates toward the little moments that are wrapped up in the entire day. A sweet laugh, a stolen moment, the glow of the bride when she sees her final look, the love in the groom’s eyes when his wife is walking toward him down the aisle. All these moments are what makes a wedding day, a wedding day. As I write this, looking through all the photos I’ve taken, reliving May 6th; reliving every wedding I’ve been apart of-I’m jolted into the feeling I experience being a photographer. It’s that feeling we all have when you think about how much you love what you do and how you couldn’t possibly imagine spending your time doing anything else.

To all of my couples, I thank you for that feeling.
